Scholarships Available for Underserved Students at San Jose, Watsonville and Pajaro Valley High Schools

High school seniors at select high schools in San Jose, Watsonville and Pajaro Valley who are in need of economic assistance to attend college are encouraged to apply to the College Success Scholarship Fund offered through twin UC Santa Cruz Educational Partnership Center regional efforts.

The College Success Scholarship Fund provides scholarships for college-bound, disadvantaged seniors at Watsonville and Pajaro Valley high schools and San Jose’s Andrew Hill, James Lick, Gunderson, Overfelt, San Jose High Academy, Yerba Buena, and Willow Glen high schools. 

Scholarships range from $1,000 to $8,000 for students seeking to attend community college or a four-year college or university. Scholarship funds are provided by the College Access Foundation of California and distributed by the MAIA Foundation and the Silicon Valley Community Foundation.

Recipients of the 2009 College Success Scholarship who have met the eligibility criteria have been contacted and encouraged to apply for renewal. The deadline for applications is April 16, 2010. Scholarship recipients will be announced in May/June, 2010.

Scholarship applications and Transfer Partnerships Program (TPP) enrollment form can be downloaded below. If you are planning to attend a two-year community college, the completed TPP enrollment form must be submitted with your scholarship application.
