Assisting Foster Youth to Achieve Their College Dreams
The UC Santa Cruz Renaissance Scholars Program identifies and recruits prospective college-bound foster youth in high school, community college, and university. The program provides a variety of educational support services to help students reach their highest academic goals. Our Transfer Partnerships Program supports Renaissance Scholars currently enrolled at one of the 13 regional community colleges.
We offer Community College Renaissance Scholars:
- A designated community college counselor
- A UC transfer advisor
- UC/CSU applications workshops
- Financial aid and scholarship advising
- Statewide university campus visits
- Year-round transfer-related activities
